Don't you want me to die again

Don't you want me to lead again

Don't you want me to feed again

The machines beep off

to a world that leaves without

you,

and I have one parting saying:

“Things will be okay someday”

Don't give up on me,

angel,

there's still heaven here.

I wrote this about my dad. I have chronic pain (and have for 13 years in one form or another because of lack of competency by doctors) and he thinks I'm a drug addict and won't speak to me. But I hold out hope that one day we'll have the type of relationship we did when I was a kid.
