Dignity

Dignity

A Poem by Emily Irene.
"

Written February 10, 2014. About my dad.

"

You lost your dignity

and I hate to be the one to tell you

but you're not going to find it

on these cold court house steps.

His Honor can't judge you

anywhere like I can.

And the ruins of your god

won't find a place to rest,

not tonight.
