Let It Be.

Let It Be.

A Poem by Emily Irene.
"

About my first love, and my first kiss.

"

I hate you so much now.
I never thought I would and I don't think I can truly say I hate anyone else.

Regardless,
I remember that feeling you provided me with.
The heaviness that constantly pulled my stomach down, as if it were filled with bricks, disappeared;
it turned into clouds that floated up my throat and past my mouth, perhaps maybe even into your own. I'd never felt them disappear so peacefully.

And I'll never be able to hear that song and not think of that moment,
always wondering if it hurts you half as much to hear as it does for me.
