Infatuation

Infatuation

A Poem by Emily Irene.
"

Written when I was infatuated with a certain guy.

"
I wish I could lay next to you constantly.
I'd forsake everything else,
all my days,
just to rest my head on your shoulder,
a hand on your stomach,
your arms around me.
I feel the wonder & amazement when I am there.
I listen to your heart
as I watch you inhale,
exhale,
repeat.

Please don't let this feeling go away;
its more than I've ever felt
and it blinds me
to my past of dysfunction.

Let's drop out of reality
and stay wrapped up together,
limbs eternally mixed together
                      so gently.
