The Journal - Entry One

"My slumbers have been few. I see him in my sleep; he speaks to me in whispers.
Visions of a man, in and out they fade, followed only by a darkened sense.
And for the past many nights, I have lost sleep, fearing that I have become but a shadow of my former self."

Journal Entries -

In the book there are several scattered journal entries through out, all are written by an "unknown" author, who's name is later revealed in the story. This is the first of the many journal entries written within the book, you'll see how the entries tie into the dreams of Keira, and what they were meant to to "illustrate".

Journal entry is suitably mysterious - works good as a transition between chapters. It might be cool if, instead of just calling it "Entry One" you added in a time and date stamp. That always has a kind of cool quality - placing the suitably mysterious entry into a defined and relatable time and/or place. Works as is, just a random thought as I was typing this.

Nice idea! I use quotes of different works (mostly fictional) in my novel before chapter, but you use it differently. Good idea as this will keep readers intrigued. Well we'll see where this will bring us :)
