Love Cycle

Love Cycle

A Poem by SypherDostravius

I shiver when I hear your name

And when I think about it

It’s not the same

You cannot forgive

You cannot forget

How we were intertwined

I was good to you

You know it felt good

You screamed my name

Arching back

Brought you close

To heart attack

Now you’d better turn and run

The things you’ve done

Are way too shameful

I can’t look at you

I no longer call out your name

I can’t remember

Why I got so tangled

Now I forgive

But never forget

Those long nights

Of your screams

Arching back

You took my breath away

You made my everyday

Rhythm of a conversation

I slowly fell into her creation

She slipped her sex into my coffee

Just like the way when she first saw me

I’ve learned to love and learned to hate her

I eased the pain with her creator

Closed my eyes and listened to you crying

I lifted you up

Now I’m letting you down

I’m not giving up

Just changing my love…
