Slavery's End

Slavery's End

A Poem by SypherDostravius

We are dirt

We are alone

You know we’re far from sober

Don’t be like us

Don’t be ugly

We take the pain

We take the punishment

We grin and smile

We pretend nothing happened

You know nothing

You know not what goes on

You ignore our screams

You ignore our cries

You do nothing to wipe our tears

You just slap us instead

Don’t cry you tell us

Don’t scream you yell or I will kill you

We remain silent

We wait for the moment

We wait for a sign of weakness

Then we strike

We cause you pain

We give your punishment

We are ugly

We hate you

We may be dirt

We may be alone

But we are strong against you
