Sacred Promise

Sacred Promise

A Poem by SypherDostravius
"

I wrote this several years ago when I believe I was in love with a certain woman.

"

This past Valentine’s Day was spent alone at work.

The woman I wanted to spend it with

Believes love does not exist

Yet I still wait for her

Wanting her.

She is my one and only

No other compares to her

I have written many poems

Describing her beauty.

None come even close

To looking at the real thing.

I watch her in awe and wonder

I lie in her lap and wish for it

To never end.

I want her so badly

Yet she is just out of reach

So I wear this ring

As a promise to myself

No matter how tempting it would be

To find someone else

I just look at the ring

And remember my promise

Never to falter even for a moment

That my love for her is true

My Love for her is real

My love is only for her…
