"Angst Ridden Jargon No. 1"

"Angst Ridden Jargon No. 1"

A Poem by Rain Kettle

Some friends will let you fade
With loving looks to a lonely grave
Chew on words that they kept saved
That now reside for noone

Others wait it out with hollow laughs
With rusted bonds and a photograph
They left inside their afternoon bath
When they cleansed themselves of you

Most are merely acquaintances of friends that you had at a time
So when eyes cease meeting and the pleasantries end
They don't seem to really mind

But there are friends I'll hold quite dearly
I'll retain their words and faces quite clearly
Remembered fondly but not forever

I wonder too if they'll remember me
A stain amidst obscurity
I can't complain, they've left me all the better

I wonder too if they'll remember me?

About
I'm a kettle that catches the rain. Whatever the hell that means. I'm a kid from Texas about 19 years old whose incoherent ramblings occasionally resemble something profound. Occasionally. more..
