Elegy to an Instant

Elegy to an Instant

A Poem by Dean

Every now is new
and restless in its unmarked tomb,
though joined by one
magnificent and restive shower
of its fellows, gone and
raining down forever, never
save within this write,
justly celebrated,
loved,
or understood.

An elegy is written to something dead. I suppose instants dies as soon as they're born...
