in each caress imagined as I sense an exhalation of your breath a thousand miles away; a passion riding on a single breeze that reaches me, enabled by a power that might emerge only from opening a single shroud.
I have indeed erected barriers when I perceived time's echos thrum along the stony path. They cannot be ignored.
No, it is not imagining. You alone have created those sweet touches of devotion, though endless fields of blood will make their claim on history's Page One.
But it is for me, the destiny which sets discovery as truth, though that is not the end, for my sole happiness is in revelation, be it celebration of success or contemplation of your darkest hour.
It is you who provides such insight. You, the one who teaches me these mystic-laden concepts of romance... and I shall stubbornly pursue them, make of them my own, cherish them within me
The heights of romance, without a single touch, can pour forth wine into our veins, making us heady with delight, eager for the rush. Those moments have stilled my breath at times.
I really enjoyed the flow of this one, Dean. You touched on a rhythm that "felt" really good in the reading (which I did three times, and once aloud). Great lines breaks and use of language in a sparing, yet influencial manner. I also enjoyed the content, which spoke to me of idea of undying affection, even for those who may be lost, or perhaps lost and found again.
for my sole happiness is in revalation, -- I can believe this line, because you are a seeker of knowledge and teacher in terms of what you give to your readers. Nicely written.

thanks Sarah. It was better the night before when it first came to me, and I thought: sure I can r.. read morethanks Sarah. It was better the night before when it first came to me, and I thought: sure I can remember that--but as usual when I don't set down my notes, it had gone "poof" the next morning when I awoke. I never learn!!!!
We are born to know romance at least once in our life. Reading this poem reels it into view for me. Your profession of being a teacher is a true revelation, for that inspires me to become a better writer. For until my dying day, I shall stubbornly pursue them, those "mystic-laden concepts of romance."
I do hope you're enjoying this fine cool evening in California!
My best,
Kelly
