Polish PrinceA Poem by SymphonyNo.4I recently finished a book and was inspired by the tragedy of the main character As a European myself, I find this poem embodies the spirit of my cultureArmored with hope in his right, and a heart in his left The world appears to be but a state One that will reward him well the more he age He is prepared, no trace of doubt, not even a shudder The world is is to name, his troubles slain What others see as obstacles, he sees as a fun game His ambitions, not easy to tame But what he wasn’t prepared for was the fact that the real guitar didn’t play as sweetly as his It played a fouled tune, and while out of tune! He didn’t realize this foul song would come so soon He knew this tune from a young age Was aware of what it meant as well But his hope and heart tried to quiet it They should’ve known, every prince’s crown eventually goes dim © 2024 SymphonyNo.4Author's Note
