Winter

Winter

A Poem by SymphonyNo.4
"

As a child, I hated the winter As I began to grow up, the winter became a symbolic period of time Now, despite its cold, winter is the season that embraces me with warmth

"

Oh come, oh come

You cold and bitter fronts

And knit a blanket of snowflakes

To keep the world warm for our sake

I can’t even recall

The last bird I saw

Or a path of green grass

And a blue sky ,too, has long passed

Others view this as a time of joy

With family and spirit and so

But I do this to myself

For I have lost myself

In truth, the hidden skies comfort me

And the nipping cold you see

Despite being cold, I feel an embrace

From the winds that touch my face

The season of change has passed,

and with it, my old self and past

I will not longer fear the bitter truth

Rather, embrace it, as the ground does to snow
