Until You Come I Will Sit HereA Poem by Sympatico
With you,
I do all these things -
The luxury of common things
With wonder of mundane talks
I march the little fields
And gossip with the birds
That inhabit every season
In cedar-scented longing pure
With you,
I've come to the talented peaks
Of my life's meaning
To enable rainbow moments
And to swallow flowered palaces
And I lie on blue cushions and watch the sea
All because you are beside me
I hear your voice, it is the breeze
With you,
I show the return of waiting years
For the drink of hot sunlight
To make me full at last.
