After China

After China

A Poem by Sympatico

When I look into your eyes

I see China, the gardens there

A history of rain-blue silken raiment

That reaches through behind waterfalls

There is water dropping in your laughter

Some would seek to mate with you

But I must follow where the snow whispers

Where the rain calls me like how

The temple rings, why does the temple bell ring?

When I look into your eyes

I feel the haunt of streaking moonlight

Love songs from strangled forests

Bamboo swaying in the wind

Your lips are tucked inside a window

From another planet's terrestrial view

A history of the evolution of a species

Neatly summarized, maybe it is not my own.

Beautiful images...I especially liked the rain blue silken raiment...and I loved the title too...SyberRose

Another "I wish I had a love like this" moment. The italicized lines are fantastic... the imagery is exceptional.
