About Face to the HorizonA Poem by Aiden- Aiko- KiyomiThis is a thankful dedication to my Horizon for helping me remember I was meant for more in life.
About Face to the Horizon
Shining brightly, as the horizon's flame Broken, as the clouds in the sky I, called by a different last name You, my reminder of freedom and why Gladly, I turned to face you, closer than ever Since when did life feel this fantastic To have seen it coming, I'd obviously never I'd begun to believe the lies wrapped in plastic One about face to the horizon and I knew My motivation to leave, to hope, to grow I knew that I'd find it all in you Which means more to me than you could know Even if it all ended tonight, I'd turn away in thanks With all the chats, laughs and motivation For pushing me away from those stormy banks And for reminding me that subjugation was not my station I didn't leave for you, I left for myself You simply helped me to realize The real me was there on the top shelf Hidden away from searching eyes So, from the dusty cupboard you set me free And I'm forever thankful for your role Into the horizon, the only way I can see You released my mind and helped release my soul
