Dirge of the Good Guy

Dirge of the Good Guy

A Poem by Javan
"

Something I wrote about a girl I went out with...

"

I got caught by a cute one
Bright eyes, nice smile, firm bum.
She told me that she likes me a lot,
she said that being sprung
Is something she hadn’t got,
Before I stood before her
And she held my hand,
Was supposed to be a link, but god damn!
It was good for a while, but then s**t changed,
Like British sunshine just before it starts to rain.
But now I’m baffled and officially confused
I feel stupid as s**t, and just a bit used
Cause my role it seems was just to play the fool
and not the good boyfriend that I tried to be,
Refused a threesome reluctantly,
But being a good guy is not as good as it seems.

*sigh* and now I gotta get my s**t back,
should have just bounced and went home when I hit that.
