Dream Girl pt. 3.

Dream Girl pt. 3.

A Poem by Javan
"

"Don't write about the emptiness, write about what you need to fill it..."

"
My name...
I've heard a thousand people mouth it,
a hundred different ways,
but when she lets it fall from her lips.
I know that it was given to me
only to be said by her.

She chases away the nightmares,
and leaves me with only dreams.
In them I see of far of futures,
distant lands, and impossible creatures,
each dream as varied and unique as the next,
but she stays forever my only constant.
And now she lays beside me,
deep in dreams of her own.
I used to fear that when she woke up,
I would be no more than a memory,
from deep within her subconscious.
A cruel trick of the heart and mind.

But as she sleeps,
her hand searches for mine,
her arms hold me close,
her head rest against my heart,
and as join her in sleep and slumber,
She exhales slowly, and my name falls from her lips.

Just another 32 year old with an over-active imagination and a half-decent vocabulary. I started writing just to help me get things off of my chest and out of my mind. It's an escape for me. Been.. more..
