The stage of denial

The stage of denial

A Poem by Sylla Rege'ne

The demon who sits on his throne,

Judging the angels one by one,

Sending them to hell alone,

For the naive things they have done.

Unforgiven, they march on,

Into fire of the sins they've lived,

When all the love was wasted and gone.

They were broken but still tried to give.

They've waited for paridise too long,

And gambled o'er love; they rolled the dice.

They thought they were right, but terribly wrong,

And they're to pay the ultimate price.

Even now, their songs bring sorrow,

Where they otherwise brought peace,

To those of us with no tomorrow,

Whose lives were soon to cease.

And now the hopeless may have no home,

For the angels were sent away.

But in the darkness, they're not alone,

For their love, they still display.
