PrinceKing

PrinceKing

A Poem by Sylla Rege'ne

In front of the people, you refused the crown,

The golden crown with the heart shaped crest,

Before the people, twice you've turned it down.

And now, I implore you, turn away from the rest.

Will you thrice turn down love when we are alone?

Tell the begging, kneeling girl before you

That you don't love her, and refuse the throne,

Or else stitch her aluminum heart to you.

And should you stitch, hide it from the crowd.

But she will know the truth, and sing

Her hopes of truth or your love out loud

And recovery for loving PrinceKing.

Turn it away from the people, but turn not from your heart,

And be proud of what you will not sever,

And cherish the girl who offers both love and heart

And she will wait for PrinceKing forever.
