Surreal house

Surreal house

A Poem by Yehman84

There are six of us housemates; I'm the only white here. I hate that for some, this scenario would still strike fear!

They're loud and quite crazy; with footy they get carried away. The banter gets rather grainy, but I'd have it no other way.

I'm older than they, by at least ten years, they play hip-hop, rap and R&B; it's more Motown, soul & Al Green for me, yet it all works nicely to our ears.

At first they thought this white-boy would be a bore; then they learned that ANYTHING they do, I can do more!
I am pretty reserved, but they respect me with that, so at least they know I'm not just a miserable twat.

After this year though will will all go astray, because being students, that's just the way. Another chapter will come to turn; new people, new places will come into play.

About
I write to (TRY to) alleviate my depressiveness. I do wish I could write more cheerful things. However, unfortunately those feelings tend to be less regular; and rarely make it to paper. more..
