My Entity

My Entity

A Poem by Vee

Brush away the tears that fall,

Vacant are the way things used to be,

Buried is my hopes and promises,

Of all the things I used to be,

Come now to the body hollowed,

That shell that used to belong to me,

Is now nothing but a cage,

Just a lonely memory,

Many asked me how,

My body became a shell,

A vacant piece of misery,

Lost to all but not to me,

When I used to wander greatly,

Down the path the shallow road,

I met upon the path a stranger,

Who took from me my rotten soul?

And as he pulled the knife out,

Of my blood splattered cotton dress,

He leaned down to kiss me,

In my moment of duress,

I will give to you my darling,

A new life you can't compare,

Then he stroked me softly,

Fingers through my blackened hair,

The only thing that I could do,

Was look at him in horror?

From up above my body,

Rest in pieces, cut to quarters,

I watched him as he buried me,

Beneath the willow ground,

Never had I witnessed such,

Nor find it so profound,

Now I am left here,

Forever on this ground,

Looking for revenge,

And making cold hearts pound.
