Present but Absent

Present but Absent

A Poem by Syd

My baby said that I'm not the person he wants me to be most days.
I realized I hated him most days,
Hardly remembering the last time he made me smile.
I came to notice our relationship became a vacant shell, A home without the comfort.
Then my baby wasn't my baby and I was glad he was gone
