The Devil's Bridge

The Devil's Bridge

A Poem by Syd Warburton
"

Meeting Satan at a crossroad is so played out.

"
I walked upon an empty bridge
Save for a man in black
With a chesire grin

I asked him who he was
But he would not say
Said he's gone by many names

He told me across the bridge
Lie fame and fortune
Take what you want
But you'll pay for it

Paradise on earth
But it's no heaven
Cause remember kid
I collect at 27
