Shadow on the WallA Poem by SyberRoseShe hears music playing; her shadow on the wall waiting to be asked to the shadow ball It has been so long since an arm around her waist dancing cheek to cheek as fingers interlace She lights a jasmine candle and places it by her side Waiting for another shadow while she dances teary eyed The flame begins to dance within the naked night enticing each other as they tango and incite Spinning and twirling around the candlelit room sweet fragrance seduces as love begins to bloom Wick of night disappears in the midnight hour One shadow dancing; a lonely wallflower Always to be a solo ballerina. never to tango to a concertina
