Purple Lace

Purple Lace

A Poem by SyberRose

Night weaves a web of purple lace

in window of twilight's hour

As dancing shadows embrace

In belfry of a moonlight tower.

Lavender mist begins to swirl

as gloaming begins to fade

The Spanish moss begins to curl

 secret whispers in night cascade.

Violet eyes in dark of night

watch as scent of magnolia creep

Passion begins to tenderly bite

free spirits of restlessness weep.

Night weaves a web of purple lace

By morning dew there is no trace.

sweet Magnolias Syber! your night has woven some magical charms and i am in love again ;) your poem raises my awareness of dramatic yet subtle changes wrought on the the earth and its plants .. i can hear them curling and moving .. unfurling and closing .. and in the dawn the magic is gone :(
but oh what a night!!! :)

Thank you E. and so nice to hear from you today as always...thanks for peeking in...Rose
You have a magical way of tantalizing the reader with the lovely mental images you create. I could feel becoming one with the dancing shadows, breathing in the scent of the flowers and the aroma of love. No you don't come outright and say it, but it's there. Beautifully done!

Goodness, Rose!

What more beautiful words and phrasing of word-painting could there be than this, which you've so wondrously, skillfully stroked upon the canvas of our minds, dancing vividly across and down the page?
I do not know the answer, because I cannot conceive of any.

Such a softly ethereal atmosphere your magically creative mind, heart, and spirit have lured us into … there is a sensation of virtually floating through each line and verse.
I have no way of knowing, of course, if this is what you had in mind, but it sure feels good!

Gosh, Rose, I sincerely love this piece, and I gift you my warmest thanks for allowing us the pleasure of sharing it with you … big hugs! ~ Richard

Lovely as always Rose. Purple is actually one of my favorite colors, and violet eyes would be wonderful to get lost in. This poems feels mischievously sweet. Enjoyed.
