A Black Velvet Night

• 

In the shadows of impassion ~ ebony winds linger 

and lilac eyes glimmer with the intimacy of love

and wealth of inspiration drifts like silken petals

across the satin sheets of my heart~

 

The beating of my pulse quickens

and thrill of seduction deepens

as you press closely the space between us;

and solace of night comes alive

like a purple orchid butterfly

in a cocoon of candlelight~

 

Within delirious pupils are ephemeral diamonds

and tears of iridescence on edge of insanity~

 

Amorousness of your fevered kiss

melts upon the afterglow of naked lips;

I tremble as you sigh and whisper softly my name

as sultry winds claw down the windowpane;

and Au Naturel bodies bathe in moonlight

within potion of a black velvet night.

I trust this was one of the best ways of describing a love scene that vividly and full of imagery. the words were very well chosen, and assorted the sweet, soft purpose of the piece. the words befitted the content in a way as though they were there, really there, for becoming and alluring the poem. one of the best poems I have read here yet,esp that you expressed the feeling not by physical actions but by spiritual words. thanks you and well done.
