If I Should Falter

If I Should Falter

A Poem by SyberRose

If I should falter please forgive me

for not walking the path of perfection,

as I would gladly caress your troubled brow

if you stumbled upon my heart;

 as I carry endurance well~

I did not blink as I learned

the new found language

of bohemian desires and a new wealth of

                inspiration to discover~

So when I feel unjust ~ I'll try to remember

I wasn't born in hell,

but from the womb of understanding

upon a foolhardy night.

Your welcome:)
this is excellent...all about understanding...there isn't enough of it...and many relationships falter because only one side shows it...the other absorbs it and doesn't give it back...

remember bob seeger's song? "Understanding" you made me think of it..and start humming it as i was reading.

Thank you so much for taking time to comment tonight...Rose:)
Interesting, there are many places this could go.

If I should falter please forgive me
for not walking the path of perfection,
as I would gladly caress your troubled brow...

These lines brought to mind a scene from "Jesus Christ Superstar", an exchange between JC and Mary Magdalene. I think we all need to know that we are forgiven, even if we have done no wrong... human nature and society tell us that we are imperfect... Got me thinking tonight, Rose!

Sounds like a poet's plea to me, you always wrap your pen so eloquently around any subject you write Rose.
