Tattooed Memories

Tattooed Memories

A Poem by SyberRose

She searches for love in the light of the moon

where moonlight and the shadows dance__

as the shadowy fingers of the night,

caress softly the memoirs in the wind~

She was once his Madonna Lily

and he was her insatiable love__

But now dressed in black lace of chantilly,

she still feels the touch of his leather glove~

His love tattooed upon her heart

remembering their sweet primal passions__

Now within the cobwebs and tears

are the sinful pleasures of yesterday~

In the free spirit of winds they did ride

along tattooed parlors of the highway__

Dressed in black lace of chantilly,

forever still...his Madonna Lily.

love tattoos ...(have a bunch of them:)
what a sad refrain ..you have put your talents on display Rose! well done! easy flow, emotive, vivid scenes of moonery ... last two lines in the second verse reminding me of two great songs ... alliteration, personifications ... all the things i have been learning here at the Cafe!
i see this poor tattered soul becoming thin ...a wisp ... a siren wailing in the wind ... :(

Another bittersweet memory of a forbidden love...

"His love tattooed upon her heart
remembering their sweet primal passions__
Now within the cobwebs and tears
are the sinful pleasures of yesterday~"

When we fall in love, only the pleasure of it is what important for the meantime...but afterwards, the sorrow and guilt is eternal...

Beautiful, Rose. Keep it up!

Ah the sound of a rumbling engine and the fast love of the road , I enjoyed the poem with its freedom and romance a touch of sadness but sweet memories, we should treasure all our loves ,

A melancholy read from your pen dear Rose, nonetheless breathtakingly poignant & classy, you can make even bikers and tattoos sound elegant.

Thank you so much for peeking in tonight Ren...Rose:)
The third stanza is my favorite. I love the change from "sweet primal passions" into "sinful pleasures". Also, the last line made a dramatic ending. Lovely!!! :x

Such bittersweet irony his love tattooed on her heart ever permanent, despite their separation!

Splendid indeed !

Thank you for peeking in Tom...It's nice hearing from you this morning...Rose:)
Why do i think of a slow ballad accompanied by a superb orchestra? Perhaps because there's a throbbing meter to your lovely words, sad though they are; plus, an enduring quality of real emotions wrapped around by lovely phrasing, ' .. Now within the cobwebs and tears ~ are the sinful pleasures of yesterday~ ' Beautiful.

I feel like he has died and can now only touch her with the breeze. He was the only one who could really touch her, anyway. Sad and full of longing, Rose! Beautiful. Angi~
