Sandcastle of Love

Sandcastle of Love

A Poem by SyberRose
"

collaboration with an old friend.

"

We walked along each gentle beach
Once covered in sands of love
Our footprints left a paired impress
Warmed by the sun above ~

We packed the scoops of firm wet grains
With laughing playful skill
Until we had a castle built
To hide our passion’s thrill~

A salty zephyr kissed our skin
In sands of amber stars
The song of glimmer in our eyes
Within strings of wind’s guitar~

Faint ocean whispers in moonlight
Softly crept along the shoals
A pharos lit waves of passion
In heartbeats of two souls~

Such wonderful descriptions of sand, sand castles and a walk on the beach :) The salty zephyr was a nice touch, I could vividly imagine this beach and the wind in my face. Nice one, Rose and Greymouser :)

Thank you Dan and i'm glad you enjoyed this piece...Rose:)
Your review of my poem led me to your site, and I'm delighted to find another writer of rhymed, metered verse. Aside from its excellent construction, this is an exceptional poem because of your outstanding phrasing and imagery. "A salty zephyr kissed our skin in sands of amber stars." Poetry doesn't come much better than that. Describing a grain of sand as an amber star--marvelous. I'm looking forward to reading your previous postings. Richard

In sands of amber stars
The song of glimmer in our eyes
Within strings of wind’s guitar~
