Fate of Eternity

Fate of Eternity

A Poem by SyberRose

Sands of yesteryear echoing in the wind

Upon shores where invisible footprints wander

And ebony blue waves whisper secrets of lovers past

within the soft vibration of the breeze~

Vivacious curves of the hourglass flow

Into the undeniable arms of destiny

And the haunted ships of forevermore

navigate without a compass in the sea

propelled by the fate of eternity~

And the salty perfume of the sea nymphs

lure lonely sailors to their death~

While a message in a bottle

lies upon sea glass shores

            where invisible footprints wander~

Thank you so much Shirley...and so nice of you to say...I do appreciate it...:)
Great poem, especially the part about the ships lost at sea, "propelled by the fate of eternity". Brings me images of ghost ships found drifting out on the ocean. The nymphs and how they lure sailors to their death was evocative, especially the phrase about their "salty perfume".

Thank you Dan and I appreciate your visit and your nice comments...Rose:)
Another wondrous poem about lost souls who perished along with the mighty ships of the time, in hazardous, treacherous seas ! Or was it the transfixing, hypnotic stare of the mermaid floating on the water's surface nearby, coupled with her haunting song which drove the great schooner unto the unforgiving rocks to it's and her crew inevitable doom ? There souls destined to wander on invisible beaches for evermore !

An haunting story, so vividly and imaginatively described Rose, top write once more.

thank you Tom for that awesome review...and thank you again for taking time to visit...Rose:)
Love both picture and piece, both are beautifully done. I love your wording, and how time is but a standstill, a never-ending river that flows from both past, present, and future. Much enjoyed.
