Nudes of Chastity

Nudes of Chastity

A Poem by SyberRose

How wondrous are the shadows and lunar light?

as they embrace in the wilderness of the dark~

The heartbeat of the wind softly whispers

desiring the Potion of the night~

And as mere mortal beings sleep

the passionate gods drink of nectar~

And free spirits of restlessness

become the goddesses of desire~

The nudes of chastity shed inhibitions

within the fragrance of an ambrosial moon~

And entangled are the Aphrodite’s of temptation

behind the veil of the gossamer mist~

How wondrous are the shadows and lunar light?

as they embrace in the wilderness of the dark.

The nudes of chastity -- such a breathtaking image!

The beauty in the language that you chose is stark and bold; vivid and poignant. My heart is beating with the anticipation of the ideas you have so beautifully painted in words here. I'm fascinated by this piece, and by the way that it was written. Great flow and form.

Suggestion...in the first line "How wondrous (are) the shadows and lunar light" ?

Thank you so much Thomas...and nice to hear from you this evening...:)
Hi Rose. A delightful write about the moon. Enchanting and romantic. Elegant verse. Skillfully crafted free verse which I enjoy. Lovely presentation. Vivid imagery and descriptives. Lovely personification of the shadows, moonlight and the wind. Lovely depth of feeling. Delightfully sensual and at the same time restful. Good word choice as is the use of repetition for emphasis of feeling. Well penned and a much enjoyed read. Write on!
