Sweet Lyrics

 

 

   

 

It was a special time to remember

a scent of effervescent love~

 

The sweet lyrics  (See you in September)

 

had teardrops flowing like a mourning dove

 

And as April showers brought May flowers

and the heat of summertime bloomed~

 

(roses are red and violets are blue)

 

The sweet garden of love was doomed

 

 As golden mums and purple crocus

peeked through the Autumn ground~

 

Tears flowed from eyes of blue lotus

as sienna leaves fell without a sound~

 

It was a special time to remember

within smoldering leaves of September.

This was a varitable garden of delicious imagery. I love "flower" imagery, especially in poetry that is written with certain times of the year in mind. There is nothing like walking barefoot through a blooming garden without care of getting your feet dirty. Well done.
