Sweet Lyrics

Sweet Lyrics

A Poem by SyberRose

It was a special time to remember

a scent of effervescent love~

The sweet lyrics  (See you in September)

had teardrops flowing like a mourning dove

And as April showers brought May flowers

and the heat of summertime bloomed~

(roses are red and violets are blue)

The sweet garden of love was doomed

As golden mums and purple crocus

peeked through the Autumn ground~

Tears flowed from eyes of blue lotus

as sienna leaves fell without a sound~

It was a special time to remember

within smoldering leaves of September.

Ahem, keeping my reading going Rose. Seems love can fade, or head for oblivion, but remembrance keeps a bitof it alive

My pleasure, Ms. Rose...have a good one
Very beautiful poem .LOved the line "And as April showers brought May flowers." has such a melodoius quality.Come autumn and it is time for the summer blooms to wilt and the trees to shed their leaves.just like love goes through highs and lows so also the once blooming garden soon turns bare.Through the imagery of the garden you have shown the fading away of love in a person's life.................and you are left with only memories.A short and charming write!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much Ency...nice to see you today...Rose:)
A lovely poem Rose. I love the use of the flowers and the garden.
I think the Dove signifies hope but death is inevitable and that comes across succinctly.
The death of love deep in your heart. :(
