Lavender Mist

Lavender Mist

A Poem by SyberRose

She savored the sweet bouquet of his lips

The  taste of elderberry wine~

He tempted with grapes of passion,
                                Overflowing the brim of desire~

The delicacy of love ~ she sampled
Within the burning wick of candlelight~

Love faded with crimson clover sunsets,

But aglow within the gold flaxen moon~

Memories swirl in the twilight hour

Within sheerness of the lavender mist~

Gossamer breeze of enchantment,

Lingers in the bewitchment of the wind~

She bids the bare essence of him adieu,

Sachet memories and eyes ~ sapphire blue~

Hi Rose! :) You most welcomey!:)
Very beautiful and eloquent. It feels like a single moment you have some how stretched then divided before bottling the essence of each feeling.
Nice work.

delicately said ...with undertones of powerful passion... trippy pic.... we have an elderberry bush that has finally blossomed (after 3 yrs) ...and it is incredibly delicate and colorful ... i'm not sure about the last line of the second verse starting with "But" ... i stumble on it a bit .... love the ending ... its perfect ...
