Phantom Lovers

The breath of the midnight winds

echo in the starlight,

within the canyon walls

and desert of the night~

 

The lover she has longed

at last hers to keep

deep within the canyon

eternal wind sweep~

 

In the cool dark Arizona skies

phantom dust swirls;

two lovers become

natural wonders in disguise~

 

In the depths of dreams

if you listen very close

You may hear their voices

as mystic wind blows~

 

Embraced by the stars

ecstasies of voices cry

two spirits making love

deep eternal sighs~

 

At last she has her love

a dream now come true

never to say goodbye~

Within the Grand Canyon

and the Colorado River Sky.
