My Butterfly

You are my butterfly

free to come and go

Not a prisoner of my love

with boundaries to and fro

You are my butterfly

fluttering in the wind~

 

I give my love freely

each time we meet

You are my butterfly

gift wrapped in discreet~

 

The breeze of enchantment

Sometimes will lift you away,

But always will return

to the sand of hearts bay.

so delicate the butterfly ... children learn quickly that to capture and hold ..the butterfly looses its flight quickly ;( your poem teaches us all not to interfere with the butterfly of love :))

I personally dislike butterflies (and bugs in general), mainly because of their eyes, which scare me a little, but I understand your poem. How beautiful and free love is, and how it may leave for who knows how long, but will always return, for it is pure and definite. Lovely poem, painting, and much enjoyed. :)

love, as i conceive it as a concept, is all about owning what one desires, thus i omit that word in my own works. in this poem i find not the love as my mind conceives to be, but genuine affection. its all about making bridges of opportunities to be together, not being possessive. truly fascinating usage of words and symbols. . .
