Whispers of Goodbye

Passionate heat of the sun

replenishes his touch,

and moonlight of his smile

dances like white rose buds~

And as the summer breeze

runs its fingers though her hair,

sweet petals of kisses

linger upon her shoulders bare~

Whispers of goodbye

in the sails of the wind,

and his signature

forever upon her skin~

But he is free as a turtle dove

free from safe harbors

and the commitments

of true love~

Are there really any safe harbors though Rose - even in true love. My God what a cynic I am! Of course there is and this poem is like the blueprint for happiness - if only we commit to reading it with our hearts and souls then we could all be in safe harbours.
I love how your writing on the surface can seem 'pretty' but underneath the current there is challenge and hope....always hope.

We' all can compare this piece with Everyone's life..cuz, "the world's been filled up with anger, hate, crowd and cowards as well ". Ah those safe harbors that so many of us feel protected by? I felt so whimsy with this read, I let my mind wander to distant places, remembering a time when my ship came in and stayed awhile in that safe harbor of love. Nicely versed dear Rose, loved each descriptive morsel.
