listening to the raindrops fall

While the ecstasy of the rain

flows with passion down the wall~

Would you like to spend the night?

wrapped in my love so warm

While the candle flickers with desire

while our shadows tremble in the storm~

Would you like to spend the night?

in our dark wonderland

And the only thing I wear

is just one pearl on a strand~

Would you like to spend the night?

under a canopy of lace

On ivory sheets of satin

in our silhouetted embrace~

I would love to spend the night and let dawn rise slowly to the sounds of creatures stirring and stretching to the new day. Take in the last whiff of burnt wick and slowly unveil spent bodies from our entwined satin sheets. The scent of organic java stirs in the French press awaiting to awaken our senses. Bravo my poet, very sensual and breathtaking indeed. I remember fondly those mornings after the evenings before.
