Mother EarthA Poem by SyberRoseA proseMother Earth pampers herself bathing in the dawns early light; in the cool showers of the rain and the salt of the sea, as she heals the wounds of the generation before. She perfumes her body with the scent of red roses and walks barefoot upon the velvet dew of the morn. The love within her heart shows through the warmth of her soul; deep within the valleys and her womb of wonder. Pregnant with seeds she gives birth as wildflowers burst into an array of color along the side of a country road; waiting to be picked by a loving hand; someone in love for the first time. In the the spring of her life she dances in the wind in her skirt of many colors; laughing and sighing within the rustling of the leaves. And the flora upon the palette of spring blooms like cherry blossoms in the April rain. And as she becomes enamored with the sun; the summer months carry on with the heat of passion. In the prime and the ecstasy of the moment, she notices a change. The autumn days creep silently upon her beauty as leaves begin to fade. She is swept away in the wind into the winter of her life and she remembers once upon a time. Snow appears upon the rooftops as she cradles memories to the slope of her bosom. Teardrops in the darkness upon the pillow of moonlight overflows the rivers of pain and neglect... waiting for the warrior in the wind to carry her over the threshold of another day. Pendulum of the night chimes with the dawn and deep ridges of the mountains show of wisdom once smooth as a flaxen moon. But she will carry on with the strength and will as only Mother Earth can; and will return to the springtime of love; when spirits in the wind whisper her name. ©SyberRose
