Dusk 'Til Dawn

Dusk 'Til Dawn

A Poem by SyberRose

Was it the end of the beginning,
or the beginning of the end?
when we met for the first time.
We were two candles burning bright
burning all through the night,
It was the end of the beginning,
from dusk 'til dawn.
Was it I who loved you more,
or did I love you less?
when we said our final good byes.
We were two candles in the wind
as moonlight softly kissed our skin;
It was I who loved you more
from dusk 'til dawn.
I pretended you were mine
in the arms of another time,
holding hands in the mist of the rain.
Two candles burning bright
as tears flowed down the wick of night;
I pretended you were mine
from dusk 'til dawn.

oh my, i love this, the first two lines are platinum, but i noticed you segue each stanza very nicely with its own clever reversal in tense and sense. this is very , very good. impressive in many ways!
