Paint Me Turquoise

Paint Me Turquoise

A Poem by SyberRose
"

Painting/Josephine Wall

"

You are emerald and I am the sapphire
we are turquoise, chemistry within the sea
I feel blue, withered, without you
paint me emerald, paint me turquoise with love.

We make love within the bed of the ocean
our kisses swirl in sheets of ivory sands
I am pink and you are lobster red
within seclusion of the coral reefs.

I am the froth within waves of contentment
you are the salt lingering upon my lips
We are the bouquet within shoals of night
intoxicating, seducing, each other.

I am yours...Let me bathe you in the tides
Basking in reflection of pharos light.

powerfully descriptive words. i am reminded of pablo neruda and his sonnet xvii.

very nice work in writing a romantic piece in such a creative way as to not succumb to drowning it in the temptation of going all "mushy" with it.

a great poem!

I will have to read his sonnet...thank you for your nice comments...and for peeking in:)
again, beautiful love poem..

i like the uses of Blue....in this.

blue can be serene, deep halcyon, love, peace...but then blue is sad...dejected...
the sky looks and feels differently with or without you.

Thank you so much Quin...salt air has such a wonderful refreshing scent...thanks for peeking in:)
I really enjoyed how sensual this poem is, particularly the taste of salt that lingers all the way through the poem and even after reading. The colors are soft and vibrant. How very romantic :)
