Sun,Moon and Stars

 

Silhouettes of bald eagles
gently dance upon the moon;
Like a warrior and a maiden
soaring in loves eternal bloom...

 

Listen to songs of the Gods
in jaded rain's of life's fountain
While the wingspan of an eagle;
circle life's majestic mountain...

 

Forefathers in the wind dance;
beneath feathered headdress of stars
Spirits within a Cheyenne moon
dance to drums and wind guitar...

 

As the sun gallops beneath tribal skies
Buffalo roam as smoke signals rise.

yes, i have a book full of their poetry..it is lovely

real love, for each other, for the land...the native americans knew what it was all about..

and then we came along...and took over...i find this a wonderful tribute to those native americans...i always feel such guilt and shame at we did to them when we came to this land.

and where the buffalo roam...it's like the only buffalo i ever see is in captivity..sort of like reservations for the native americans.
