Memoirs of the Wind

Memoirs of the Wind

A Poem by SyberRose

The pure velvet of his kiss
lingers upon succulent lips
like the blush
of a mandarin sunset
in the afternoon...

 She savors each kiss
like bouquet of red wine
holding them close
to her soul...

 'Til she sets them adrift
in memoirs of the wind,
 and a taffeta ribbon
drapes around wounds
of her bleeding heart.

no problem, i love your poetry
i could go two ways with this piece since it relies a bit on the abstract..

either she is remembering a lost love..and her heart is bleeding..

or this is a new love, and her heart is mending thanks to that love..

either way we read it...it is your usual excellently visual style...we see it, we feel it, we touch it.
