A Spanish Jasmine Night

A Spanish Jasmine Night

A Poem by SyberRose
"

Painting by Mai Griffin

"

He breathes the perfume of a Spanish jasmine night,
and is intoxicated by the exquisiteness of her beauty.

There, he melt's in the candlelight of her eye's;
 eye's of incandescent blue...
yet, changing to blue-violet whenever he whispers, "Esperanza."

'Tis Sangria lip's, flamingo pink, tempting him with passion,
passionate fruit, aching to be kissed.

His whispers melt along the slender branch of her neck
Like the breeze  melting in the shadows of moonlight.

Soft string's of guitar wind's, send a chill down the spine of the dark.

Whilst the dreamy tempo of the star's bolero across the sky,
she surrender's unto him within the  jasmine of the night.

Still, she says, She loves him and then, She loves him not.

The dew upon the stem of morn, melt's, like chocolate sorbet.

She says, "Please come here" and then,"Please go away."

Perfume of a Spanish jasmine night linger's in the light of dawn,
and he again whisper's, "Esperanza."

Thank you for peeking in...I appreciate your visit...Rose
This is very sublime and sensual in texture and content. I like the imagery of Spanish Nights...I have written about the Spanish shore and the dancers a couple of times (Along the Spanish Shore and Costa del Sol), and this reminds me a little of what I was feeling when I wrote my pieces; though you got a lot more into the sensual :)

Perfume of a Spanish jasmine night linger's in the light of dawn - my favorite line, because it is both tangible and honest. I love the ending of this one.

Thank you Sarah...I am happy you enjoyed my words, and thanks for visiting. Rose
When caught up in a romantic moment the question of love or heat of the moment can confuse the heart. Very nicely penned.

Thank you Dale...yes it is confusing as dawn breaks ha..Rose
ah, with that scent, the essence captivated him. Though her name is Esperanza - to it his hope and expectation of love is with much chances. As " esperanza " is hope or expectation in English. As he whisper perchance - " Esperanza , oh esperanza quizas para mi amor" Great provoking poem.
