The Twilight Hour

The Twilight Hour

A Poem by SyberRose

Come with me, through the twilight hour
While moist dew, flows like a teardrop
On every dark rose, and sweet flower
Come take my hand, to the mountain tops

The purple fog will weave a web of love
You will be mine, until tomorrow
When the kiss of dew, is upon the earths crust
Then my love for you, will turn to sorrow

And as you leave, and go on your way
Just maybe we will meet again
My lonesome tears, will flow into the bay
Down the mountain tops, until then

As long as the moon guides the dark shadows
I will mourn our love like a black widow.

Though the picket fence he walked,
Into a field of lingering distraught.
Shoes made wet from the dew just formed,
Making his way to the opened door.

His face shone, like the moon's ray that night,
Making me feel full of bliss at his sight.
Tears leaked through my eyes, for they were held captive,
Restrained from leaving, when he left me feeling hapless.

The night still shrouded the moving earth,
My feelings for him were everything but dearth.
As he came closer, it was harder to see,
Any of his features, for it was just a dream.

Sorry if this bored you, but I made this up after reading this poem. This poem definitely held dark aspects to it as it neared the end, and I enjoyed reading it from the start to the finish.

Thank you Ashley...Im glad you enjoyed...Rose
This was quite well done. I enjoyed the imagery, and the metaphors that weave love with nature are very nicely done. I also like how you used "web of love" and then "black widow" at the end; a nice bit of foreshadowing that leads us to a little different place in terms of emotion. All in all, I found this quite breathtaking.

I am a big fan of nature's love. (The Twilight Hour) this beautiful title caught my eye and then I read for the first time you words of poetry.

Early dawn and twilight are my two favorite loves of nature besides its tree's of love.

Dawn and twilight. What a beautiful romance in our skies. Thank You for sharing.

You show the ups and downs to light and dark, the good and bad, great force and evil, this was deep and sentimental, and it really stroked my heart!
