She Wore Fuchsia

 

She wore fuchsia
like a summer rose
a blossom of loveliness...

Mahogany hair
laced with mountain rain
and velvet skin
kissed by a flaxen moon...

Soft caramel kisses
smeared upon a satin pillow
in the warmth
of an imaginary night...

She wore fuchsia to hide
the thorns in her heart
but still tasted fuchsia
in the lost breeze of his kiss...
