Shadows of Discreet

Shadows of Discreet

A Poem by SyberRose

As candlelight drips down the shadows of discreet

the lavender scent of love weaves a purple web;

And the tides of the fickled moon begin to ebb

until the silhouettes of the night slowly retreat...

And as she removes her rosey-colored glasses

the signature of love is cast upon the shore;

And the jealous hand of fate slaps her as before

and teardrops are the color of blue hair grasses...

As she peers within the darkness of her window

the crimson tulips dance in the moonlit showers

She bathes within the waterfalls of moon flowers;

and still hears his voice in whispers of the willow...

Even with the passage of time the memory of some things do not bruise.... well... that is if they are well protected..... with lavender, which also induces sleep. This poem is and echoes others that are. Some fruits are greater for picking off the tree and consuming there and then and others for preserving in alcohol or syrup.

"And the jealous hand of fate slaps her as before" great line and a wonderful piece, as usual your images used here are extremely vivid and beautiful.... the language used here is also wonderful, especially in the last stanza, everything just flows into the next line smoothly. overall a wonderful piece.

You're welcome. Thanks for dropping by my site.
the jealous hand of fate slaps her like a too strong wave against a shore.

the missing is overwhelming.
again nice mix of nature and longing...you combine nature with human feelings so nicely with your vivid description.
