Endearment

Endearment

A Poem by SyberRose

I hold you in the endearment of my heart
The way the arms of the night hold the moon
And for the sun and the stars to adore.
Not in shadows but upon mountaintops
Where the wingspan of eagles fly
And as we grow old together
Love is deeper than a winding river
More vibrant than an emerald valley

In the cameo of my mind,
And in the springtime of our love
Within the scent of sweet blossoms,
Our love will continue to bloom
Yet, in the winter of our life
Still, we will be springtime lovers.

The first shoots of green grass,
The band circles drops to fresh water,
Gramma thick in the canyon's bottom, tucked out of the wind,
A new foal plays tag,
Apart alert alone...
Not lonely a four legged,
Sentinel
Eyes on the horizon
On his beginning
On his end...
And the sky laced with white streamers criss crossing layers
Top the setting shadow.

First love? Perhaps. The very thought of it resides in all our hearts.
