I Wear You

I Wear You

A Poem by SyberRose

I wear you like a cherished gold locket
Between the cleavage of my breast
Close to the beating of my heart

Still, I wander nakedly without you
As I bathe in fragrant memories
 Of sweet magnolia bouquet

You are no longer my ray of sunshine
As I am a porcelain China doll
 Within rivulets of soft candlelight
And yellow rose petals in ginger hair

Golden moonlight drapes a sarong
Over the shoulder of a memory
And a trellis weaving forget-me-nots
 Echoes lovingly, our torch song.

Dear SyberRose,

Another delicate piece, with a wispy, wind-blown feeling like chiffon fluttering on a balmy, gentle night.

This was greatly enjoyed.

"i wear you" ...like a corsage, a medal, a badge of courage, a smile, a glow...and a whole myriad of other memorable items or things. this is stellar writing, makes me think of many memories and lifts my heart, in spite of some painful memories....i wrote one like this recently but i wore her like a tattoo....right down under my skin. i love that you kept this simple and yet made it sublime. well done!

a pleasure to read, and you're welcome
wow, even after you are gone, "I wear you"

I wear you like a memory i can't shed...like a piece of clothing i won't get rid of...

even after my first two marriages ended, i wore my wedding rings for awhile...hard to let go? or maybe, i just liked wearing those rings..

really scintillating write.
